** OUR PERSONAL CAR - NOT A RETAIL SALE **

Subaru Hawkeye WRX 2.5 in Silver with gold powder coated Team Dynamics wheels (18”).

Highly modified with around £30k spent around 3 years/9,000 miles ago - fully forged engine, VF400 turbo, 6 speed Sti gearbox, SL heated leather interior, Team Dynamics wheels, BC coilovers etc. Running an estimated 380-400bhp. Full spec below.

In very good condition with some stone chips and car park dings but nothing that detracts. Sti rear spoiler but otherwise still presents as a WRX. Professionally restored chassis by Scoobybits with NO RUST (minor blister appeared on one rear arch). It should be noted that the shell required a lot of remedial work – all done. Underneath it now presents well with much powder coated and the shell itself coated with black stone chip. Engine bay nicely dressed, repainted/powder coated. There is a matching purple ancillary belt cover but not currently fitted. Very good interior with heated SL leather seats/door cards and good condition standard silver dash trim. Fitted dash top gauge cluster with oil pressure, oil temperature and turbo boost gauges – all working correctly. Single din Sony stereo (not the Alpine shown – it’s faulty and will be swapped out) and Subaru covered oddment space. Subwoofer and front/rear dash cam also installed and included at asking price. Standard WRX steering wheel.

In total around £30,000 has been spent on the car (ignoring the base vehicle) over the past 3 years and 9000 miles. Spend was in the main through Scoobybits here in Cornwall by the previous owner (£24,600). It was put back on the road in its current spec in March 2023 at around 80,500 miles. Following a change in circumstances, we bought the car in late 2024 with under 82,000 on the clock and have carried out the various snagging required of a newly assembled vehicle and ultimately used it as a daily driver for the past 18 months/7000 miles. It drives exceptionally well.

Faults and issues. It is a modified Subaru after all… No cat and none supplied. It has a current MOT but it will not pass an MOT as it sits without a cat and a remap. Fuel consumption is good for a 400bhp 2.5 litre 4 pot but don’t expect over 20mpg. The BC coils overs are not very old but clunk, mainly when manoeuvring. It seems they all do. We intended replacing them with street/Sti spec non coilover Pedders which would suit its current daily driver status but may not suit anyone else so we haven’t changed them at this time. Presents very well but exterior paintwork has not been done. It has various minor workshop and car park dings and stone chips – it could do with a PDR session ideally. Insurance; as the base car is a WRX (ie 220bhp) insurance may be tricky if under 25 as it falls well outside of the usual +25% power increase that insurance companies will accept. Please check insurance before enquiring!

Overall, an absolute modified bargain – use daily as we have as its worth so much less than an Sti and will literally outrun anything or take it to the next level as a show car. Or strip it and track it. The current turbo is a great spec for a road car as it spools up well but is limited to around 400bhp. The engine itself will take far higher outputs.

Up for sale as my son needs a car to do longer journeys and far more miles following a job change. Its probably worth more in parts (engine £5k, box £3k, rust free shell??) but advertised to see if there is any interest in its current spec at what is I think a bargain price. If the base car had been an Sti then it would surely be worth double.

Car will be serviced before sale.
