'FTX 99K' is one of just c.664 Lotus-built Seven S4s and was first registered in October 1971, still retaining its original number today. The displayed mileage is 61,000 but this cannot be warranted. Beautifully presented in a blaze red with period correct Dunlop alloys shod with Yokahama A539 tyres. Original and correct seats with modern TRS four point harnesses. The GRP bodywork present really well but does have the usual selection of marks and crazes but nothing that detracts.

Extensively restored by its previous owner (fifth) over the past five years. During the restoration, the Seven benefitted from a fully rebuilt 1700cc crossflow on twin 40s, checked and tuned by Craig Beck Racing Ltd and measured at 125bhp with lots of torque! The chassis has been refurbished by Neil Fowler Motorsport including new front discs and pads and adjustable Spax damper/spring platforms all round.

In addition, it has a new race battery, custom-built stainless steel exhaust manifold and silencer box, gearbox overhauled by BGH Geartech, custom-made wind deflectors, refurbished original seats and new 4 point seat belts.

Finally, (and very rare - didn’t even know such a thing existed to be honest!)  is a custom made S4 hardtop made from the original Lotus mould. This was a factory option priced at £65 and only a few were sold in period. The top is even fitted with a practical perspex opening rear window 'hatchback' so you can easily get to the large boot. Note that there is no hood nor side-screens present and that the hard top is only placed in place in the pictures – a full fitting set of bolts and brackets is present and correct.

The Lotus has a new advisory free MoT (though it is registered as Historic so exempt) and will be supplied with its history file, roll-out tonneau and current V5C.
